1/12/2014 · (Most people know this by now considering how long HL2 has been out.) The first command you should put in is sv_cheats 0. It should hopefully already be set at this, but in case it isn’t, you should do it now. It has been reported that you can’t get achievements if cheats are activated. So don’t cheat! Next command, put in cl_showfps 1.

Edit: A little side note: If you want to get Achievements for HL2 and it’s episodes, I recommend that you don’t turn on sv_cheats, as you cannot cheat and get achievements at the same time.

Type “ buddha ” to prevent your health ever reaching zero. Type “ impulse 82 ” to spawn a jeep. Type “ noclip ” to turn off collision, watch out though this will allow you to zoom outside of the map.

To get achievements in Half-Life 2 with cheats (ie: sv_cheats set to ‘1’), you activate sv_cheats and whatever cheats you want (god, impulse 101, noclip, etc.), save your game, exit out of Half-Life 2, relaunch Half-Life 2, and reload your save. sv_cheats 1 only disables achievements for the session you activated cheats.
